Dosage and Administration
- Take Nizoral tablets exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Take the tablet with food to increase absorption.
- Complete the full course of treatment, even if symptoms improve before finishing the medication. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose.

- Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Nizoral as it can increase the risk of liver damage.
- Do not skip doses or stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.

Mechanism of Action
Nizoral works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. By disrupting the production of ergosterol, Nizoral weakens the fungal cell membrane, causing it to become porous and leading to the death of the fungal cells.

- Do not take Nizoral if you are using medications such as cisapride, dofetilide, or quinidine due to the risk of severe heart problems.
