- Otitis media (middle ear infection)
- Skin and skin structure infections
- Bone infections
- Genitourinary tract infections
Dosage and Administration
- Take Keflex orally as prescribed by your healthcare provider, usually every 6 to 12 hours, with or without food.
- Take Keflex at evenly spaced intervals to maintain its effectiveness.
- Take the medication at the same time(s) daily to aid in remembering.
- Complete the full prescribed course, even if symptoms improve before completion.
- Take a missed dose as soon as you remember. If nearing the next dose, skip the missed one.
- Do not discontinue the medication prematurely, as it may result in the return of the infection.
Dosage is determined by your medical condition and response to treatment. In children, dosage may also be based on weight.
