Indications: Frontline Plus Blue for Medium Dogs is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea and tick infestations. The Frontline Plus Blue for Medium Dogs medication above is manufactured by Merial.
Ingredients: Frontline Plus Blue for Medium Dogs contains the active ingredients fipronil (9.8%) and (S)-methoprene (8.8%). The inactive ingredients make up 81.4% of the formulation.
Directions: Follow your veterinarian’s prescription exactly. This medication is for topical use only.
- Hold the pipette upright. Tap the narrow part to ensure the liquid is in the main body. Break off the snap-off top along the scored line.
- Part the fur between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin. Squeeze gently at one or two spots to apply the full contents.
- Avoid excessive wetting of the fur. If the fur looks sticky, it will go away within 24 hours.
- The minimum treatment interval is four weeks unless your veterinarian advises otherwise.
Do not use Frontline Plus Blue for Medium Dogs on pets younger than 8 weeks old or weighing less than 2 kg. Do not use it on cats, as it may cause serious harm. Avoid using it on rabbits, as it can be fatal.
Side Effects: Common side effects include skin irritation at the application site.
Rare Side Effects: Redness, irritation, or hair loss at the application site. If ingested, it may cause drooling, nausea, vomiting (rare). These effects are usually short-lived.
Signs of Toxicity : Tremors, seizures, ataxia (difficulty walking), rigid limbs, increased or decreased activity, vocalizing, aggression.

Apply the treatment where your dog cannot lick it off. Make sure treated animals do not lick each other. If licking happens, temporary excessive drooling may occur. In rare cases, skin reactions like itching, redness, hair loss, or discoloration may be seen. If you notice any unusual symptoms, contact your veterinarian.
